THE LAND OF THE DRAGON



Once upon a time there was a very 

beautiful princess named Adriana, she 

lived in a very big castle, because her

father was the king of Dragon land.

The young princess usually spent her

days playing with her friends.They

usually spent their days playing 

in the castle dungeons.
One day, Adriana and her chums went

for a walk around the castle walls

where there was a forest full of huge 

millenary trees.

As they entered the

forest,the girls noticed something

moving among the tree branches, but

couldn’t see who or what it was…

Suddenly, an enormous dragon came 

flying out and grabbed the

princess with his claws………

READING COMPREHENSION

LET US READ THE STORY OF "THE MAN WHO CYCLED THE WORLD". Then write the answers in your notebook.


Mark Beaumont is a famous cyclist from Scotland. He cycled all the way around the world in only 194 days and seventeen hours, That´s a world record!
He began his incredible trip in Paris on the 5th August 2007. He cyled alone across four continents and twenty different countries.

On a typical day, Mark cycled about 160 kilometres. That´s a lot! It was difficult because he needed to carry about 80 kilograms of equipment, including a tent and a sleeping bag.
After cycling about 30,000 kilometres, Mark finally returned to Paris on 25th February 2008. He made a documentary film about his experience. He also wrote a book called "The man who cycled the world".

Now Mark is planning another big trip. He wants to row 3,300 kilometres across the Atlantic Ocean! But Mark isn´t going to travel alone this time. He´s going to be part of a team. They plan to row non-stop from New York to the UK in 45 days. What an adventure!
