LET US READ THE STORY OF "THE MAN WHO CYCLED THE WORLD". Then write the answers in your notebook.
Mark Beaumont is a famous cyclist from Scotland. He cycled all the way around the world in only 194 days and seventeen hours, That´s a world record!
He began his incredible trip in Paris on the 5th August 2007. He cyled alone across four continents and twenty different countries.
On a typical day, Mark cycled about 160 kilometres. That´s a lot! It was difficult because he needed to carry about 80 kilograms of equipment, including a tent and a sleeping bag.
After cycling about 30,000 kilometres, Mark finally returned to Paris on 25th February 2008. He made a documentary film about his experience. He also wrote a book called "The man who cycled the world".
Now Mark is planning another big trip. He wants to row 3,300 kilometres across the Atlantic Ocean! But Mark isn´t going to travel alone this time. He´s going to be part of a team. They plan to row non-stop from New York to the UK in 45 days. What an adventure!

First of all, my congratulations for this blog, that’s clean and simple to use for children. I also like colours you have chosen to attract them. I specially love this entry (Reading Comprehension): Mark Beaumont’s character is as interesting as the activities you suggest below. However, I don’t understand one of the sentences of the reading (“But Mark isn’t going to be a part of a team”; does it mean that he is going to do it alone again? After that you say that “they plan”, who are they?). Apart from that, I cannot open the link suggested in activity number 2 of this same post because Google Drive says that “I need a permit”; I think you should make it public for everyone who opens the link, it would be better; there are other entries in the blog that have the same “problem”. Anyway, I think you have made a pretty good job, so thanks a lot to share it with us.
